Dominick contributed 2 Saturday afternoon the young Chargers took on the Lakeview Lakers. Again the Chargers came out strong tied at 8 after the first quarter but managed to score only 3 points in the second quarter to trail 11 -26 at the half, eventually losing 38-53. Offensively Alex Johnson pumped in 14 points, followed by Brennan Enstad and Jake Severson with 8, Dominick Madson 5, and Jordan Madson 3. The team committed 17 turnovers but made 15 steals, Alex Johnson with 4, and Victor Vondracek and Dominick Madson 3 each. Jake Severson led in rebounding with 7, followed by Jake Severson with 6, and Brennan Enstad with 5. Jake Severson also added 2 blocked shots. Dominick Madson, Jake Severson, and Jordan Madson each contributed 2 assists each. The boys next game will be Parents' Night at Westbrook versus RRC this Friday. Charger B- squad report Friday night the Adrian Dragons came to town to take on the Chargers. Offensively, the Chargers couldn't get the ball to fall into the basket. Through the first four games they had been shooting 43% from the field, but on this night this dropped to a cold 18%, losing 27-53. Dominick Madson led the team in scoring with 8, followed by Alex Johnson 7, Jake Severson 6, Victor Vondracek 3 and Jordan Madson 3. Dan Schneider and Victor Vondracek each had 2 assists. Defensively, Victor Vondracek and Jake Severson each picked up 3 steals. The Chargers were out-rebounded 28-34 with Brennan Enstad topping out with 6 followed by Alex Johnson and Dominick Madson with 5. Dominick Madson also added 2 blocked shots. "It was one of those nights that happen, the ball just couldn't fall," commented Coach Peterson. Saturday night the Chargers took to the road to battle Lincoln HI. The much younger Chargers played a great game against a team that put primarily juniors on the floor, but fell 53-60. The Chargers shot 41% from the field but only 50% from the freethrow line. Alex Johnson had a career high game going 9/13 from the field and 9/11 from the freethrow line for 27 points. Alex also added 10 rebounds and 2 steals. In the scoring department Victor Vondracek added 10, Jake Severson 8, Dominick Madson 6, and Brennan Enstad a bucket. Defensively Victor Vondracek added 6 steals, Jake Severson 7 rebounds followed by Dominick Madson with 5. Coach Peterson added, "I was very proud of this team tonight, they played older and much more experienced players and this squad held their own. This is going to be a team to watch as they move up the ranks."
