The high school gym was a busy place last Saturday with several rings of youth wrestlers competing for trophies. Placing first was Zach Olson, Nicholas Berg, Eli Doty, Derek Christians, Meyer, Hunter Kyker, Brady Bierl, Nathan Gordon Nordahl, Aaron Mattison, and Ryan Hass. Reid Bakken. Bryan Schroepfer. Bierl. Mark Baker. Sara Placing second was Schoborg, Levi Brummer, Jordan Schroepfer, Caleb Cody Wehmeyer. Lane Dusek, Taylor Keairnes, Anddrson. and Hunter Mitchell Schroepfer, Taylor Johnson. These young grapplers seemed to be enj selves as they went at it. Rotary Kids Wrestling at Canby January 31 The 18th Annual Canby Rotary Kids Wrestling Tournament will be held Saturday. January 31. at the Canby High School. "We're looking forward to hosting another group of young wrestlers at our Just For Fun Tournament.'" said Sally Vogt, Canbv Rotary Club president. The tournament offers first place trophies and medals for second, third, and fourth place for wrestlers in grades K - 8th. Four-person "brackets will be set up by grade level and by weight. Weigh-ins are from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at Canby High School. Wrestling begins at 10:30 a.m. The tournament annual- ly draws youngsters from Minnesota and South Dakota. The Canby High School wrestling program is also a participant in the event.
