The team actually controlled the ball well, only commit- ting 11 turnovers, but were heavily outrebounded. Zach Merrick and Layne Kockelman dished out 2 assists each, while Zach Merrick was the high rebounder with 4 boards. Zach played a great all- around game also adding 3 steals. Friday night, Februar3' 13. 2004. a strong Southwest Christian team made the trip to Westsbrook, Again the Chargers played a strong first half, down 18-19. Once again, rebounding was our downfall and the team ended with a 45-31 loss. Jon Kells scored 9, while Layne Kockelman added 7, Zach Merrick, David Schulz, and Marcus Nelson 4, while Jordan Winter added his patented 3 pointer, Job Kells hit the boards with 7 rebounds, followed by Merrick with 4. Merrick once again added 4 assists and 2 steals. Kells added 3 steals and David Schulz 2. Again, the Chargers only turned the ball over 17 times and played an overall good game, but were outheighted once again.
