The fifth and sixth grade band performed the Beatle tune, "1 Want to Hold Your Hand" at the Pops Concert last Friday night. ,gfade student Nicholas Dusek performed a trum- during one of the numbers at the middle school Nn h and performed "Ain't No eighth grade girls High" at the concert last Friday night. I 6th grade girls play in Adrian tourney Sat. Tom Vondracek directed the middle school jazz band as they played one of their numbers. The percussion group performed during one of the numbers played by the seventh and eighth grade. By Coach Adam Kletscher The WWG 6th grade girls' basketball team trav- eled to Adrian this past Saturday, March 6th. The girls played in an afternoon tourney against two Adrian teams and SVRLB. The Chargers played a great afternoon of basketball and came away with second place. The Chargers first game against Adrian #1 put the girls off to a good start. After only leading by four points at half time, the Chargers pulled away in the second half, winning 24-13. Leading the Chargers was Kylie Erickson with 8 points, followed by Stacy Zeug with 6, Sheri Zeug and Sara Jarmer 4 each, and Kristi Hoffman with 2. Kylie come away with a win. The final score was 25-19, Adrian. Leading scorer was Kylie Erickson with 12, lbl- lowed by Sheri Zeug, Staey Zeug and Erin Conrad with 2 apiece, and Sara Jarmer with 1. Stacy Zeug led the team with 5 rebounds and Kylie Erickson had 3 steals. The final game of the afternoon put the Chargers against the SVRLB Raiders. The girls played a great game on both sides of the ball, and finished their sea- son with a 30-11 win. The Chargers spread the ball around well and had various scorers. Leading scorer was Kylie Eriekson with 12, fol- lowed by Stacy Zeug with 6, and Cedar Yang, Samantha Baker, Melody Horkey, Kirsti Hoffman, Sheri Zeug, and Carlyn Kletscher all Erickson led the team with 8 with 2 points each. The girls had played them in a previ- ous tournament. WWG was able to control their point guard who hurt us in our first match up, but could not contain their bigger girls in ....
