However, I do not enjoy listening to the kids with their loud mufflers on their cars. Is it legal to put those loud popping mufflers on cars? The noise is annoying to many of us in my neighborhood. To me it is interesting that you describe the muf- fler, as "popping" and I believe you will understand why when you read my answer. Minnesota Statute 169.69 covers this area and reads in part; Every motor vehicle shall at all times be equipped with a muffler in good working order which blends the exhaust noise into the overall vehicle noise. It also says that the system shall prevent excessive noise, unusual noise, and that a muffler cutout or bypass or similar device is illegal. The exhaust system 'Light Years from Andromeda' Show planned at SMSU Planetarium The SMSU Planetarium will present a show, "Light Years From Andromeda" at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Thursda); April 15 in SM 108 on campus.
