' 274-6166 Youth wrestling plans potluck The youth wrestling pro- gram from RRC/WWG has completed its season and plans a potluck dinner for the youth wrestlers and their families, Friday, April 16 at 6 p.m. at the Walnut Grove School. Beverages will be furnished. Five local wrestlers cap- tured state championships recently at matches at Albany and some at Rochester. Taking first places: Zach Doty, second grade, 62 lbs. However, good weather allowed for solid practice time which pro- duced a solid first outing. WWG shot an awesome score of 166. They were led by Daniel Schneider and Kenny Willers co-medalists. Kenny Willers and Daniel Schneider each scored 41 and David Schulz and Derek Eichner 42, Jordan Winter 45 and Joe Glanzer 47, with a total of 166. SWC's high scores ranged from a 45 to a 70, ending total of 189. The B team ended with a score of 197 to SWC's 200. Jordan Heinrich, Layne Kockelman and Josh Knakmuhs each carded 49 with Ryan Hoffman 58, Austin Quade 52, and Dominick Madson 50. The Charger boys increased their record to 2-0 as they defeated Tracy. Kenny Willers paced WWG with a 39, good enough for medalist honors. Jordan Winter 42 and Derek Eichner 43 also shot low rounds for WWG. WWG again had several golfers below 50. The B team paced by Layne Kockelman earned their 2nd victory of the young season. The end tally was WWG 204 and Tracy 225. The WWG girls' golf team opened up with a solid win against SWC. The Lady Chargers were hit hard by graduation but worked hard in pre-season and were rewarded with a win. Jamie Munson 46, Jenny Heinrich 51 (medalist) and Jasmine Madson 56 paced WWG. Ashley Hanson also had her score of 64 counted. The 3 seniors will be counted on heavily as the season pro- gresses. The girls' B team was led by Amanda Deprez and Eliie Vondracek with 62, Whitney Frank 74, Andrea Hass 78, and Daniele Osland 88. The girls' golf team lost Practice, Practice, Practice... Above RRCWWG girls tracksters prac- ticed handing off the baton. At right Abby Knott practiced the triple jump. to Tracy last Tuesday. Ashley Hansen 63 and Stephanie Oomnick 64 paced the Lady Chargers. Other scores were Ellie Vondracek and Amanda Deprez 68, Andrea Hass 80 and Megan Chapman 87. Their season record stands at 1-1.
