Welton, Windom, MN Boys golf team beats Windom By Carter Ross Coach The boy's golf, after sev- eral close calls with Windom, finally made it over the hump. The Chargers defeated Windom 164-167 at Westbrook last Monday, April 18. Windom has been one of the best teams in the area for the past several years and as a coach you always want to be able to compete with the best. The chargers have lost by 2, 1, 3, 4, and tied the past few meets. The win was nice for the team and will give them confi- dence as they move forward. Dana Madson (37) led the way for the Chargers as he shot the low round of the day. Jared Lindaman and Aaron Theisen both carded a 42 to earn the 3rd place medal. Aaron Hass led the JV team with 49. Windom won the JV event 199-220. WWG's' record now is 4-0 on the young season. The girls played well also on this very cool day. Molly Jarmer fired a 53 to earn the 3rd place medal. It was nice to see Molly back on the course and playing well. Paige Erickson (56) and Abby Herding (67) rounded out the chargers scoring. Hopefully soon we will have 4 golfers to start scoring as a team.
