The work of several senior art students as well as work from other students in grades 9-12 will be fea- tured in displays in the cafe- teria and office area hall- ways for viewing before and after the concert. Art work will be selected from the areas of Drawing and Painting, Crafts, Sculpture and Pottery, Advanced Drawing and Painting and independent art class proj- ects. Featured senior artists are: Tyler Beerman, Nicole Berg, Colin Brennen, Nick Westbrook Welcome By Toni Sletten and Garnet Fowler (Correction - the last name of these newcom- ers was omitted in last week's Sentinel). Newcomers Paul and Karen Falkner reside at 638 6th Street. Paul was born and raised in Elkmound, Wi, and Karen was born and raised in Minneapolis. Paul worked at Honeywell many years and Karen worked at nursing. They both have health problems now and are unable to work. They have 3 daughters and 1 son. Butch's hobbies are music and he plays drums. Karen likes computer, reading, writing and they enjoy their grandchildren. Asked what brought them to Westbrook - family and they help their daugh- ter with the grandchildren. In addition Michelle Dietz, Savanna Evans, Joe Imker, Andy Nelson, Chelsea Popp, and Sara Kohlhof will be displaying art work at the MN State High School League Region III-A Visual Arts Competition on May 5 at Westbrook. Also from 6:30 - 7:30 in the auditorium, select stu- dents will be performing the solos and ensembles per- formed in competition at the regional contest in Jackson, Saturday, May 1. This Recital Hour format will give the audience an opportunity to hear the performances of several superior entries by RRC students. This is the final band and choir concert of the year and therefbre it will be a spe- cial one for our seniors. We will recognize each of them for their years of contribu- tion. Following the concert refreshments will be served allowing for visiting and viewing the art displays.
