The wind was really a factor at this meet. The times weren't something we were concerned about. The pole vault event was cancelled due to the wind. We would have picked up some more points there. Red Rock golfers top Balaton, girls lose to HL/O/L nice day for golf. With May here, the teams are looking for some nice weather and better golf scores. Last Thursday the Red Rock girls traveled to Lakefield for a match against the Silver Bullets. Nicole Radamacher of the Bullets carded an ace on the third hole and won medalists honors with a 44. MicheUe Lindaman was low scorer for the Chargers with a 48. Call Wes at 445-3431 After hours call 445-3465 O I Murray County Dairy Princess At their annual banquet Saturday, April 20, the Murray County Dairy Association'named Pauline Post, Chandler, their 1991 Murray County Dairy Princess. Reigning with Pauline will be Barb Johnson of Woodstock. Both women will represent Murray County at the regional competition to be held June 25 and 26 at New Ulm. They will also represent Murray County ADA at several events through the coming year to promote the dairy industry. Pauline is the daughter of Frank and Arlene Post of rural Chandler and is a senior at Chandler-Lake Wilson. She has been active in school activities and is a member of the Chandler Hilltoppers 4-H Club. Her future plans are to attend South Dakota State University majoring in dairy manufacturing. Barb is a student at Southwest State University at Marshall majoring in elementary education. She is the daughter of Darwin and Connie Johnson of rural Woodstock. Judging for the competition was held before the banquet and was done by Dorothy Bloemendanl, Lake Wilson and Karen Bruxvoort, Chandler. The crowning took place at the banquet attended by a large number of area dairy farmers and businessmen. Entertainment consisted of several numbers by the Chandler-Lake Wilson Honor Choir and several songs done by Jason Groen, Chandler, a student at Northwestern College in St. Pad. damp and loolifed very wind blown. The same four girls contributed to the team score. Michelle Eichner had a 50, Michelle Lindaman a 51, Alicia Ahlrichs a 52 and Julie Vosberg a 56 for the Charger total of 209. Balaton's team total was 254. Although the wind was not conducive to low scores the Charger Boy's Golf Team shot a very respectable 160 to E[alaton's 200. Chad Bakke finally got his game in order and was medalist along with Nick Kuehl's score of 38. Jason Bakke and Scott Eichner contributed a pair of 42's for the Charger's winning total. In "B" team action, Stephanie Anderson was low golfer for the Chargers at Lakefield with a 55. Against Balaton, Erica Lamb was low scorer with a 37 on 5 holes. In boy's "B" golf, Jason Ourada and Jerome Cohrs shot 47's. "C" medalist was Ryan Casey with a 49. Cottonwood County 4- H Share-The-Fun 4-H'ers shared their creativity, energy and talent in a performing arts opportunity on Friday, April 19, at the Windom Central School Auditorium. Eight acts represented 7 clubs. Ann Go-Getters 4-H Club was rated first with their performance of "Blast From The Past". "Grandma's Feather Bed" by Great Bend Peppy Pals was second. Germantown Livewires received third place honors for their 4-H rendition of "Little Red Hen". Acts were evaluated by a panel of judges comprised of 1 representative of each Cottonwood County 4-H Club. Judges' scores were compiled to determine placings. Cnterla included content, performance, audience appeal and creativity. Other participants were: Marilee Imker of Highwater Lads & Lassies, Kurt Kremer of Windom Workers, Midway Mountain Movers 4-H Club, Loyal LakersK'arson Climbers 4-H Club and Jane Mathiason and Leah Enstad of the Ann Go-Getters.
