All of Us Are God,s Children The Bible tells us that since we know God is always righteous, we may rightly assume that all those who do right are His children (1 John 2:29). What more could anyone ask than to be a child of God? Parents who love and care for their children are always protective and want only what is good for them. They hate to see their children hurting one another or doing something that is wrong, and when a child is hurt or sick, a mother and father will do whatever they can to help their child recover. Like our Heavenly Father, parents only want what is good for their children. They want their children to be kind and honest, and to use their God-given talentS to the best of their abilities. In dealing with our everyday activities, it is help" ful and comforting to know that we are God's children and that He wantS what is good for us. Relationships between children and parents are built on love and trust, and likewise, we should strive on a daily basis to improve our relationship with God. And although we may not always understand God's ,ways, we should know that He loves us more than we can imagine, and that He will never leave us or forsake us. Good parents can never stop loving their children, and our perfect Father in Heaven will never stop loving us. But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave power to become children of God. R.S.V John 1:12
