SENTINEL TRIBUNE Sports Girls' track team participate in tough, cold weather Wednesday, May 5,2004 By Coach Joan Z|eske It was a tough, cold Worthington Invitational Track Meet Thursday, April 29 for the WWG/RRC girls' track team. WWG/RRC com- peted with no team mem- bers from WWG HS, as they were on a band and choir trip to Missouri. The top placing for the team was a second place fin- ish in the 400 meter dash by Amanda Buresh. Team Totals: Luverne i62, Worthington 83, Adrian 83, Fulda 71, SWMC 54, SWV 53, WWG/RRC 21. It was a beautiful day and Knott placed first in the 300 hurdles and Nelson laced first in the 800. Both girls ran a personal best. They then teamed up with Amanda Buresh and Lindsey Anderson to win one more first place, the 4x400 relay. Team Totals: TMB 149, Wabasso 76, Comfrey- Springfield 67, Canby- Minneota 63, WWG/RRC 62.5, Fulda 55, RTR-LB 52.5, Lincoln High 29.5. Krystle Sell came home with four 1st place victories. She won the 100, 200, and 400 Dashes, and the Long Jump. There were 8 teams at the meet. The Chargers' placed sixth. The 4x800 and 4x400 relay teams continued to show dominance as they won both events. Garrett Gransee, Matt Moldan, and Mark Engen all turned in second place finishes.
