The Lord Takes Delight in His People In the Bible, Psalm 149 tells us that the Lord takes delight in His people and He crowns the hum- ble with salvation. The significance of this wonderful verse comes alive when we think of how much pleasure parents and grandparents receive when they are surrounded by their family for some special occasion. It is such a blessing to be close to those you love, arid the feeling of togetherness is bound by true affection for each other. Passing along family values to our children is beneficial to family life, and more importantly, the virtues and qualities that children witness with their families will remain with them throughout their lives. God wants us to receive joy from those around us, and the closeness that families develop should be a reflection of our closeness with our Heavenly Father. Our Lord takes delight in His people and He wantS them to spend eternity with Him. The delight and closenesS that we share with our loved ones is an example of God's love toward us, and the eternal blessing that we share as being part of God's family is salvation. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. K.J. V 3 John 1:4
