SENTINEL TRIBUNE ON RJ:0000CORD Wednesday, May 25, 2011 Page 2 COLLEGE NE NS Graduation memories... 111th commencement held at University of MN Duluth Ben Gundermann, son of Russell and Paula Gundermann , was among 1280 graduating from the University of MN Duluth Saturday, May 14, 2011. Ben graduated Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honors with a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering Degree. Ben has accepted a posi- tion with Husco International, Waukesha, WI (suburg of Miwaukee). He will work in their Agricultural Department in Project Design. Commencement ceremony at MN West College - Canby Campus Rebecca Weber, Canby Campus Dean, announced the 2011 Graduating Class of the Canby Campus of Minnesota West Community & Technical College. The Commencement Ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 11 at the Canby High School. Graduates and their guests enjoyed a reception hosted by the Faculty and Staff of the Canby Campus prior to the ceremony. Among those graduating was Colton Knudson, Westbrook,Wind Energy Technology, Associate in Applied Science. St. Cloud State dean's list announced St. Cloud State University has announced the names of 1,514 students whose aca- demic achievement placed them on the spring semester dean's list. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Among them is Joshua Paul Soupir, Milroy, Undergraduate Studies. Lor Yang receives SMSU Scholarship Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN announced that Mai Lor Yang, daughter of Pang T Yang of Walnut Grove, MN, has been selected to receive a Gala Fine Arts Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year. Recipients of these scholarships are recognized for their academic accom- plishments and outstanding leadership abilities. Her planned major fields of study are art and account- ing.
