Snapper, Westbrook Walnut Grove Independent School District #2898 April 19, 2010 The Westbrook Walnut Grove Board of Education i $250 ' held a regular board meet- ing April 19• 2010, 7:00 p•m• at the Walnut Grove building. Members present were Kronback, Kleven, Knakmuhs, Madson, Maas, Helmer and Jorgenson. Also present were Supt. Woelber, Prin. Richards, Prin. Olson, Doug Lee, Lynn Arndt, Lynn Pabst, Leo Theisen, Mrs. Arndt's government class and Tom Merchant. Kronback called the meeting to order. Motion by Jorgenson seconded by Madson to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2010 regular board meeting. Motion car- fled. Motion by Kleven sec- onded by Knakmuhs to approve the amended agen- da. Motion carried. Motion by Maas second- ed by Helmer to approve the claims and accounts. Motion carried. Prin. Richards reported the senior class trip went well. The junior class trip will be going to New York- Washington D. C. with 25 students participating. Maydra Maas introduced the following resolution for adoption: RESOLUTION FOR MEMBERSHIP TO THE MSHSL FOR 2010-2011 Greg Madson seconded the motion and upon vote being taken thereon the fol- lowing voted in favor there- of: Kleven, Knakmuhs, Madson, Maas, Helmer, Jorg.enson, Kronback And against the same: none Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Dates to remember: Donuts for Dads April 22, 6th grade recital; April 22, WWG K-3 music concert; April27; WWG 4-6 music- band concert May 4; and muffins for moms May 6. The Micawber Club and WG Police Dept. will finger print preschool -3rd grade the first week in May. The free lunch program will continue June 7- Aug. 6. WG Loggers Fishing Derby at Lake Laura will take place July 17. Prin. Richards noted all spring activities are in full swing. Grade 9, 10 and 11 test- ing is about completed. Grades 7th and 8th will begin soon. FCCLA returned with 2 gold and one bronze award. FAA will send several teams to state competition. The administration asked permission for drug dogs to possibly stop at the school. The board gave their approval. Motion by Maas second- ed by Kleven to adjourn. Motion carried.
