In 1935, she received her RN degree from Kahler Hospital in Rochester. Hilda worked as an RN in Rochester, and other hospitals throughout the United States before her marriage. She was baptized, confirmed and then united in marriage at Old Westbrook Lutheran Church to Theodore Enstad on November 18, 1944. Ted and Hilda lived on and farmed the land Ted's grandfather tree claimed in Ann Township. Hilda was an active and life long mem- ber of Old Westbrook Lutheran Church and participated in many church and community groups. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, bible studies, and loved spending timewith her children and grand- children. Hilda died on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Valley View Manor Care Center in Lamberton at the age of 97 years.
