Weis I neral services were held for Betty C. Weis at the American Lutheran Church,Windom, MN on Thursday, June 3, 2004. Officiating clergy was Pastor Gregory Hall, organist was Carol Vought and vocalist was Mary Einertson. Casket bearers were Doug Kuehl, Gary Quiring, Orland Norstegard, Lee Peterson, John Weis, Robert Anderson. Interment was at the Westbrook Cemetery, Westbrook, MN. On May 29, 2004 at the age of 79, Betty died at the Sogge Good Samaritan Center in Windom. Betty C. Weis was born on August 5, 1924, in Slayton, Minnesota to the late Claude and Bertha (Lewig) Kadus. She was baptized at an early age and later confirmed. Betty received her education in Westbrook Schools where she later graduated. On September 26, 1944, Betty was united in marriage to Walter F. Weis at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook at the pastor's residence. After marriage, Betty and Walter lived in Westbrook where Betty worked at the Westbrook Hospital. In 1963, Betty and Walter bought a home and moved to Windom. After moving to Windom, Betty worked at the Windom Area Hospital as a nursing assistant, surgical assis- tant, and in respiratory therapy. In 1973, Betty retired due to an injury while at work. Betty and Walter continued to live in Windom until Walter passed away at their home on August 23, 2001. After his death, Betty continued to live in the Sogge Good Samaritan Center in Windom where she had been a resident since February of 1999. Betty was a Iongtime member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom. She enjoyed knitting; especially making baby sweaters. She also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins on TV, bowling, and cooking; especially for all holi- days. Survivors include her four children: Joan Klett and her hus- band, Tom of White Bear Lake; Dean Weis of Storden; Barbara Weis of Aurora, CO; Nancy Rose and her husband, Clint of South Saint Paul; and five grandchildren, Amber, Michael, Lindsy, Kelly, and Kayla. Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, Walter. Marjorie (Missy) Lynn Engebretson-Ginsky Memorial serv=ces were held Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Camdenton, MO, for Marjorie (Missy) Lynn Engebretson-Ginsky. Marjorie (Missy) Lynn Engebretson-Ginsky passed away on Friday, June 11, 2004 at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, MO. Missy was born on May 24, 1955 in Westbrook, MN, to Norris and Patricia (Nelson) Engebretson. She attended elementary school in Westbrook and then the family moved to Chaska, MN, where she grad- uated from high school in 1973. Missy attended Hennepin County Area Vo-Tech and received her degree in management and marketing. On May 28, 1976, she married Steven Robert Ginsky. Missy has been actively involved in her church, Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Camdenton, MO, where she served on the board of directors. She has also been very involved in the community as a past president of the Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Camden County Fair Board. She currently served as vice president of the board of director of the Lake Area Helping Hands Homeless Shelter in Camdenton. Missy had been employed by Tan-Tar-A Resort as a sales manager. Mildred Cohrs was born on April 30, 1917 in NE, to James and Louisa Muenchau Smith. She the family farm and attended schools in and Eagle, NE, and Slayton, MN. They began Dovray Township and raised their 4 children. at Westbrook Poultry and Egg Plant for 30 ye; farmed until Waiter's death on August 26, moved into Dovray in 1989.
