Owners Bob and Sandy Grams watched with dismay as area fire fighters battled the blaze. Shortly after the fire the Grams began planning the reconstruction of the establishment, and by Memorial Day the brand new expanded restaurant was again open for business. In December of 2007 Bob died, but Sandy continues to operate the eatery. The Grams purchased the establishment in April of 2003. They added more kitchen space first, then later expanded the dining room. The Grams were proud of the many customers they had befriended over the years, from the area and beyond. The new structure features a modern kitchen, and a pleasant dining area that can accommodate up to 70 customers. Additional customers can be served on the patio when the weather is good. The menu features burger baskets, sandwiches, soup, salads, appetizer, noon and dinner specials week- ly, plus ice cream treats, homemade pies, and deserts. Pressure fried chicken is one of their trade mark dishes, with chicken and sandwiches available to go. One of the highlights of the establishment has been the Gram's collection of Coca Cola items. Although a lot of items were in the fire, many new Coca Cola items enhance the decor of the place adding an old time ice cream parlor flavor to the dining room. Whether its breakfast, dinner, supper or just a snack, you will always find something good to eat at the Shady Drive Inn. You will always be greeted by friendly smiles when you visit. ii i '!ii /ill! ,tn. rmatnnt s "Three generations caring for you ond yourfomily" 111011th Street Westbrook, Mn phone: 507-274-5464 Webstte: www.almliefh.com 182368 Sanfo] a ut Gove': 5-2552 ........ :9 .... :::;HOURS: i ........................................................... 6:30am-10pm i i :',. /" .
