Steffen will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 601 7th St., Walnut Grove, MN. Interment will be at the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service. Emma Victoria Ourada Emma Victoria Ourada, infant daughter of Jason and Lisa (Anderson) Ourada of Wabasso, was born and died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Redwood Area Hospital. Private family ser- vices will be held with burial in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery in Vesta. Emma is survived by her parents Jason and Lisa Ourada of Wabasso; brother Nicholas; grandparents Roger and Mary Anderson of Wabasso and Richard Ourada of Walnut Grove; and many aunts, uncles and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Vickie Ourada on May 25, 2010. Ann Margaret Grefe was born March 30, 1965 in Tracy, MN to Ray and Joan (Grams) Grefe. She was baptized and confirmed at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Ann graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1983. In the summers she enjoyed helping her father with veterinary work. After graduation she attended St. Olaf College in Northfleld and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and graduated with an education major. She taught in several different school districts, most recently doing substitute teaching for the Rosemount School District. Ann's most constant companion for 14 years was her dog Frankie. Her love of music came from her mom who was a church organist for many years. She liked to sing in the church choir and play her flute for special church services, as well as play piano at home for her own enjoy- ment. Ann was very happy being "Auntie Annie" to Bill, Katie and Peter, and remembered them with special gifts on holidays and their birthdays. Survived include her father Ray Grefe; brothers Tim and Scott; sisters-in-law Marilyn and Lorie; nephews and niece Bill, Katie, and Peter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death were her mother Joan in 1993, and maternal and paternal grandparents. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s. Randal Scott Erickson Funeral services for Randal 'Randy' Erickson were held Monday July 11,201t, at Bethany United Methodist Church in Rochester, MN. The Rev. Dr. Wesley Gabel officiated. Mr. Erickson, 50, of Rochester, died Thursday July 7, 2011 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester fol- lowing a brief struggle with ALS. Randal Scott Erickson was born October 29, 1960 in Westbrook, Minnesota, the son of Roger and Donna Erickson. Raised in Westbrook, he was a graduate of Westbrook High School, and was a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter in 1983. In May 1986, he married Diane Cooper in Rochester. Mr. Erickson was a store manager for Target from 1984 to 1996, and managed a Shopko Store from 1996 to 2002. The Ericksons lived in sev- eral cities in the Midwest in the states of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Colorado, eventually settling in Rochester in 2000, where Mr. Erickson managed a Mayo Clinic Store until his illness kept him from continuing recently. He was an active mem- ber at Bethany United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed coaching girls' summer softball. Survivors include his wife, Diane Erickson of Rochester; two daughters, Nicole and Kristen Erickson, both of Rochester; his mother, Donna Erickson of Lake City; and two brothers, Steve (Bekki) Erickson of Maple Grove, and Lee Erickson of Saint Paul. Preceding him in death were his father, Roger Erickson; and a brother, Doug Erickson. At any rate, the pace has been pretty steady at Rolling Hills. Tim died at his home, rural Jackson Saturday, July 9, 20111 at the age of 44. Tim Dale Nelson was born January 22, 1967, in Tracy, MN, the son of Dale and Lynn (Larson) Nelson. Tim was baptized and confirmed at Old Westbrook Lutheran Church, Westbrook, MN. Tim graduated from Walnut Grove High School, Walnut Grove, MN in 1985. He was united in marriage on October 19, 1985 to Julie Tietz Old Westbrook Lutheran Church, Westbrook, MN. Tim was an active member of the Good News Community Church in Okoboji, IA. He loved scuba diving, camping, bow hunting, joking around, and music especially playing in the fam- ily band, Iron Creek. Tim had worked at Taro in Windom for several years before becoming a dispatcher for Cottonwood and Jackson County Sheriff Departments in Minnesota and Dickinson County Sheriff Department in Iowa. He was an active member of the Arnold's Park/Okoboji Fire and Rescue and the Superior Volunteer Fire Department. Tim was a member of the Arnold's Park/Okoboji Fire and Rescue Dive Team, he was named diver of the year in 2010. Tim s children were the light of his life, he had a special nickname for each of them. Survivors include his wife, Julie; children: Kristina, Kayla, Elijah, Jessica, Katelyn, and William, and his "un-biological son" Adam Olson, parents, Dale and Lynn Nelson; sister, Kelly (Jeff) Hoffman; father - and mother-in-law, Leonard and Leona Tietz; brother-in-law, Richard (Dawn) Tietz, sisters-in-law, Janet (Dan) Fenem, and Jeanie (Steve) Rasche; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, aunt and uncle Mavis (George) Stransky, and a cousin Brian Harnack. Slayton - Sunday, July 10 Willow Lake Church opened its doors for a religious service. This service was an opportunity for interested individuals that would be  supportive of donat- ing to support and preserve this historic landmark. The church was built in 1899. Tracy Headlight Herald - The grain elevator complex in Milroy sustained major damage in Friday's wind storm. The manager hopes to have the damage repaired by harvest time. There are many farmers expanding grain storage due to strong grain market, so that may delay the repair, by not being able to get resources to do the repairs. Tyler Tribute - Tyler City Administrator, Dan Tolsma, informed the council last week that he will be leaving the position at the end of July. Tolsma has taken another city administration position in Spring Park near the Twin Cities metro area. Windom Citizen - Teresa Pudenz began with the Windom School District in 1970 as a Title I Teacher. Ten years later she moved into a first-grade classroom. When the school year ended in May, so did Pudenz's 39-year teaching career.
