Members present were Kronback, Kleven, Knakmuhs, Madson and Jorgenson. Also present were Supt. Wolber, Prin. Olson, Prin. Richards and Tom Merchant. Motion by Kleven seconded by Madson to approve the min- utes of the May 15, 2006 board meeting. Motion carried. Motion by Jorgenson second- ed by Kleven to approve the amended agenda. Motion car- ried, Motion by Knakmuhs sec- onded by Madson to approve the claims and accounts. Motion carried. Marv Kleven gave a legisla- tive report: 1) Mpls and Education Minnesota merged retirement funds which will cost school districts additional dollars, 2) algebra will be required in the 8th grade and 3) chemistry and algebra II will be a graduation requirement. Woelber noted summer projects are on schedule for completion and the summer help is doing well. The administrative evalua- tions have been completed. Motion by Knakmuhs sec- onded by Madson to approve a $30,000.00 Perpich Grant application for the arts as in previous years. Motion carried. Prin. Richards noted the work to adjust the proposed class schedule is under way. Prin. Richards noted some rooms and staff members may be changed. Summer school is going on for extra credit and graduation requirements. Prin. Richards discussed a booklet containing staff reports and testing information. Prin. Olson noted summer school started June 19. As well as soccer camp. The WWG Middle School field trips went well. The WG elementary concert was May 23. WG summer office hours will be Mon-Thurs 8:00 am to 1:00 p.m. The middle school will have keyboarding software that will be compatible with the high school.
