Please call the WWG School Office at 507-859-2141, or 859-4001, so we can schedule your child for screening Minnesota State laws require all children entering Kindergarten to be screened. The state of Minnesota requires that all children must have developmental screen- ing before Kindergarten. Even though your child may not be attending kindergarten this school year, it is highly skills that a child should have mastered based on his/her age. For example, a 3 year old is not expected to do what a 5 year old does, but it is in your child's best interest to be screened as early as possible in case there are concerns that need to be addressed before your child starts kindergarten. Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and shoes You should plan on spending 45 minutes to an hour for screening. During the developmental portion you and your child will be separated for approximately 15 minutes. You may want to asked to fill out a social- emotional questionnaire about your child.
