The Jaguars only found the end zone one time during the night scoring their only points on a 10 yard run in the second period. The Chargers and Jags held each other scoreless in the third quarter, but Otto added his second touchdown of the night in the fourth quarter. Otto's score came on a exciting 56 yard romp to the end zone with just two minutes to play in the game. The Chargers then held off the Jags to seal their first vic- tory of the season. Joel picked up 121 yards passing on 6 of 13 throws. Joel also grabbed two inter- ceptions and a fumble recov- ery to help stifle the Jags offense. The Charger defense held strong against the Jags allow- ing just the one lone touch- down on the night. The Chargers ended up with a total of 327 yards, 206 rushing and 121 passing.
