Their two goals were scored by Hayden Sanders (Tracy) and Anthony Vue (Tracy). Nick Noakes the goal keeper had 13 saves. The game against Mt. Lake Christian, the final score was 4-0 with Plum Creek Area losing the match. Nick Noakes, the goalkeeper had 20 saves. Submitted photo Chargers gang tackled a Blackhawk runner last Friday night. After leading the Blackhawks for three periods Chargers unable to hold off late surge Tom Merchant Sentinel Tribune WWG -- The Chargers took a 16-6 lead into the fourth quarter but could not stop the Blackhawks from scoring two touchdowns in the period to grab a 18-16 victory. The Hawks scored in the first quarter, but failed to con- vert the extra point attempt. The Chargers then scored a touchdown early in the sec- ond period when quarterback Nick Lehnhoff threw a strike to Matt Otto. Foreign exchange student Simon Egaas kicked the extra point putting the Chargers up 7-6. Late in the second period the Charger defense hung a safety on the Hawks to up their lead to 9-7 going into halftime. Jake Comnick scored the Charger's final touchdown in the third quarter on a 6 yard run, with Egaas booting the extra point. The Chargers took the 16-6 lead into the fourth period. The Blackhawks then reeled off two touchdowns in the final stanza to snatch vic- tory from the Chargers. Lehnhoff' was 7 for 23 passing with 123 yards, a touchdown and two intercep- tions. Jake Comnick picked up 73 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Merrick had six car- ties for 35 yards. Matt Otto had one catch for 47 yards and a touchdown. Dana Madson had three grabs for 63 yards. Levi Bunting lead the Chargers with 14 tackles, Derick Ourada had a sack and 9 tackles, Jake Comnick also had 9 tackles and a sack, and Lehnhoff tallied 9 tackles. Next Friday the Chargers will travel to Alden to take on the Alden Conger Knights. Entries must have a Friday date stamped on the envelope by the Post Office. Because of our Monday deadline, entries mailed on time, but not delivered by the post office until Tuesday, will NOT be eligible for the weekly prize, but will be included for the overall standings. All eligible entries will be judged by members of the newspaper staff and decisions of the judges is final. In case of ties, drawings will determine the winner. Contest is open to everyone ~xcept employees of Sentinel Tribune, and their immediate families. Entries will receive one point for each correct game, including the Special Game which will also be used as a tie breaker. Total points will accumulate each week and the top point getters will be listed each week, along with the names of the weekly winner. Entry forms may be reproduced on a copier, but limit one entry per person. Extra entry forms avail- able in the Westbrook office.
