The incident is still under investigation. Nate, Matt, and Kerry Knakmuhs were busy Tuesday morning preparing for their open house of the the new Knakmuhs Agency offices on Main Street. The Charger Volleyball team fought a 5-game battle against RTR at the SSU RA Facility, and came out on top. The Chargers impressive sea- son came to an end on Thursday, October 31. WWG battled Minneota at Redwood Falls and lost the match 0-3. TWENTY YEARS AGO November 4, 1992 The Walnut Grove Lions Club recently received rec- ognition from Lions Intemational for their finan- cial support of the "Quest" program at the local school. Also, the Walnut Grove Lions Club donated an emergency medial alert unit to the Tracy Hospital and will be working with the hospital to promote it's use in the community. North Hero All Stars 4-H Club collected $110.80 for UNICEF, a world children's relief fund. Participants were Todd Baker, Ryan Baker, Trent Baker, Jessica Baker, Mike Swanson, Jason Swanson, Katie Swanson, Crystal Benson, Dan Warner, Kara Swanson, Tony Fomberg, and Derek Bakken. THIRTY YEARS AGO November 4, 1982 Gerald Goltz of Currie was taken by ambulance to the Tracy Hospital last Wednesday, when the semi truck, owned by Schmidt Trucking of Currie, went into the ditch and overturned in an accident involving a tractor driven by Kevln Arnol,t. The semi was carrying about 875 bushels of beans. Three hundred fifty voters went to the polls in Walnut Grove Tuesday, with no races in the city election and only one race in the county offic- es. In the city election, Ronald Beens and Jeffery Olson were the only candi- dates who had filed for the councilperson positions, and there were no filings for mayor. LaiTy Anderson won the position of mayor as a write-in candidate.
