Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralser- vice.com. June Helen (LaVoy) Boerboom, 91, Walnut Grove died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Sanford Tracy Medical Center. June Helen (LaVoy) Boerboom was born June 17, 1920 to Arthur and Catherine (Paradis) LaVoy in Green Valley, Minnesota. She grew up and attended country school in the Green Valley area. On June 30, 1941 June was united in mar- riage to Joseph Boerboom at Green Valley. They made their home in rural Marshall until moving to their farm north of Walnut Grove in 1956. They retired from fanning in 1977 and moved into their home in Walnut Grove. June became a resident of the Tracy Nursing Home in 2004. In December 2007 she moved into Country View Assisted Living in Walnut Grove where she made her home until moving to Colonial Manor in Balaton in September 2011. June was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Walnut Grove where she partici- pated in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a 4-H leader, was involved in the Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant, LNO Club, Keenagers and Senior Dining. June enjoyed embroidering, quilting and playing cards. Survivors include her children: Clarence Boerboom, Marshfield, WI, Robert (Bonnie) Boerboom, Walnut Grove, Roger (Karen) Boerboom, Olivia, Bernard (Marianne) Boerboom, Walnut Grove, Catherine (Marvin) Stavig, Watertown, SD, Dale Boerboom, Draper, UT, Bruce (Lois) Boerboom, Walnut Grove, and Richard (Donna) Boerboom, St. Petersburg, FL; 29 grandchildren; and 46 great grandchil- dren; brothers Earl LaVoy and James (Kate) LaVoy and sister Joan Derynck, all of Marshall; sisters-in-law Clariee (Bill) Versaevel, Rita LaVoy, Ida Louwagie, and Margaret "Peg" Boerboom; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband Joe in 1994; her parents; sister Eleanor; brothers Harold and Lawrence; sev- eral brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and great granddaugh- ter Alexa Stavig. Norbert Bernardy Mass of Christian Burial for Norbert Bemardy was held Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan with burial in the chttrch cemetery. Norbert Bernardy, 84, Lucan, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Sunwood Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Redwood Falls. Norbert Henry Bernardy 'as" born April 5, 1927 in 'Lacan to John and Catherine (Manderscheid) Bemardy. Norbert grew up in the Lucan area. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. On June 3, 1953 Norbert was united in marriage to Lucy Hoffmann at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso. They lived and farmed near Lucan. Norbert was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and also belonged to the Colburn American Legion Post in Seaforth. After moving to town in 1989, Norbert continued going out to the farm where he fed his chickens and sheep and tended his large garden. He loved sharing produce from his garden with the community. Norbert had a great sense of humor, never short of witty comments. Survivors include his children; Jane (Ron) Baune, Wabasso, Donna Bemardy, Walnut Grove, Michael (Jenell) Bernardy, Parkers Prairie, Mary (Roger) VanDam, Redwood Falls, Rita (A1) Curry, Redwood Falls, Barbara Bernardy, Redwood Falls, Daniel Bernardy, Redwood Falls, Joseph Bernardy, Lucan, Glen (Dawn) Bemardy, Lucan, Julie (Jerry) Schwint, Redwood Falls, Mark (Bonnie) Bernardy, Milroy, JoAnn (Troy) Werk, Eau Claire, WI, Patrick (Paula) Bernardy, Lucan and Teresa (Jason) Norcutt, Lucan, 37 grandchildren, 17 great grand- children 15 step grandchildren, and 19 step great grand- children; siblings: Tillie (Alphonse) Guetter, Wabasso, Gen Rohlik, Wabasso, Adolph (LaVonne) Bernardy, Wabasso and Marvin (Maureen), Bernardy of Seaforth. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Lucy; son Charles, one great granddaughter; four step great grand- children; brothers: Isadore, Leonare, Lawrence; sister-in- law Leona; brother-in-law George Rohlik. Bernita Catherine Kirchner Funeral Services for Bemita Catherine Kirchner will be at St. Gabriel's Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 with Fr. Jeffrey Dobbs celebrating. Bernita Kirchner, the daughter of Linus and Gertrude Jasper Flynn, was born on August 28, 1920 in Des Moines River Twp., Murray Co., MN. She grew up on the family farm and attended District 96 Country School and graduated from St. Columba High School in Iona in 1938. Bernita was united in marriage to Clarence Kirchner on September 23, 1941 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Avoca, MN. After their mar- riage they lived and farmed in Des Moines River Twp. where they raised their seven children. They moved into a home in Fulda in 1980. Clarence passed away in January of 1997. Bernita remained at home until moving to the Maple View Estates in April of 2011. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Fulda where she belonged to the FCCW and was a past officer and Group Chairman. Bernita also was active in the Maple Lawn Pink Ladies and did volunteer work. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards (especially Bridge), reading, walking, golfing and being with her family. Survivors include her children: Ray (Carol) Kirchner, Owatonna, MN, Leon (Donna) Kirchner, Madelia, MN, Ron (Diane) Kirchner, Fulda, MN, Carol Petros, Vadnais Heights, MN, Judy Kremer, Fulda, MN, Joan (Wayne) Spielman, Westbrook, MN and Gerald Kirchner, Spencer, IA; 18 grand- children; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Pat) Flynn, Nerstrand, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sons- in-law, Ron Petros, John Kremer; brothers, Harold, Donald, Eugene, Richard Flynn. Dorean Lena Hoffman, 88, of Sanborn, MN died on Monday, October 31, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN. Dorean Lena Hoffman was born on August 12, 1923 in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County, the daughter of Herman and Augusta (Wagner) Hoffman. She attended coun- try school and helped with the family farm. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township where she was baptized and confirmed. Dorean enjoyed cook- ing, gardening and helping with the farm. She will be remem- bered for her great sense of humor. Dorean lived on the farm her entire life before moving to St. John Lutheran Home in 2008. Survivors include her brother Ronald Hoffman, Walnut Grove; sisters Loi:s Emery, Hayfield, MN and Ardella (Roger) Ankrum, Luck, W/and several nieces and nephews.
